Kobold writing looks like nordic runes, not because any influence, but the commun use of bark makes similar signs, as clay use elsewhere made various cuneiform writing.

We will use here the transcription in latin characters according to Otto von Nichkenner.

Pronunciation is according to litterary kobold used for the writing of old sagas.
It exists dialectal forms resulting from sliding in voiced and unvoiced consonnants, that makes a word like koderu ("forest") can be pronunced, according to the dialect, kodelu, koteru, kotelu, godelu, goderu, goteru, or gotelu.

    Vowels : A E I O Ø U

    A like in fat
    E like in bed
    I like in hit
    O like in show
Ø as eu like in french feu
    U like in full

    Semi-vowels : Y W

    Y like in yet
    W like in what

    Consonnants :

      Voiced  B D V  G (J) R  Z (T)
      Unvoiced   P T F  K X L  S TH
      Others H M  N

H is breathed. X is pronunced SH. TH is like in thing.
Z is often pronunced TZ (or TS) for distinguish from S, varying from S to Z.
J as in jail and TH as in this do not exist.

As TH is used as a single letter, it seemed to us logical do not insert it between "te-" and "ti-" in kobold-french-english glossary but put it after "tu-", like in spanish glossary, where pulla is after pulverulento, regarding "ll" as a single letter.
